Season's Greetings and a giveaway!

Kids are out of school and excitedly looking forward to wrapping presents, baking goodies, and the big night when Santa starts his journey around the world, spreading holiday joy to boys and girls everywhere. 

In the spirit of giving, I would like to give one lucky reader an autographed copy of the 2012 calendar.  You don't have to be local to win, but locals can pick it up themselves and have it under the Christmas tree for that dance lover on Christmas morning.

If you are out of town and the calendar needs to be shipped, I will get it out in the mail first thing in the morning tomorrow.  It won't be there for Christmas, but a little note in an envelope about gift that is coming would work just as well ;)

Seasons Change

With fall a distant memory already, and fresh snow laying on the ground, winter dance sessions are now booking!  If you've already signed up here, make sure to check your email regarding booking winter audition sessions for the 2013 calendar.  If you haven't signed up yet but have been wanting to, hurry and get your name on that audition list before I close the winter audition session sign-up!

Calendars for sale!

Our 2012 calendars made their official debut on September 16th.  I'm thrilled to say that sales are going well and every calendar bought benefits the David Suzuki Foundation, so make sure to get yours before they are sold out!

Progress!

All of our dancers have been photographed and I'm now starting to build the calendar.

I'm still looking for sponsors but am thrilled to announce that Movements Dancewear and Activewear will be a major sponsor... it's such a perfect fit!  Our calendar will be available for purchase at the store, and they've even asked that our dancers grace their walls.  Make sure when you head into the store in the fall to pick out your new dance supplies (and a calendar of course) that you take a look at their walls to see if you recognize anyone :)

Wow, Kamloops dancers amaze me!

Thanks to every single one of the dancers who auditioned for this years' calendar, you are all so beautiful and creative!  Our calendar is going to be amazing!!!

I've now closed the call for auditions for this years' calendar and have only 2 spots remaining for July 30th at Sun Peaks, which will cost an additional fee to Sun Peaks, to travel up the chairlift.  If you are interested, please fill out the application right away and email me to let me know it's Sun Peaks you're wanting.

Otherwise, get on the mailing list for the 2013 calendar auditions, which will begin this fall.

Also, keep a look out for the 2012 calendar, which will be an amazing gift to buy for that special someone for Christmas!!

Call for Nominations!

Classic Blue Photography is thrilled to announce the first calendar for "the NATURE DANCE project" is in the works! 

I am looking for nominations for the 2012 charity organization to benefit from the first annual NATURE DANCE Calendar. If you have a favorite charity - oriented toward the environment and/or children's sports in our Kamloops community, please forward the name and contact information. I will evaluate the fit and choose an organization by mid July.

The NATURE DANCE project is a community project, and its success is based largely on the efforts of volunteers and community business owners who want to be part of a fun way to GIVE.  This project was intended to involve the community by featuring OUR children and involving local businesses and by sharing the idea with all of our friends. And while being fun and beautiful, I hope the calendar also inspires care and giving from the heart!

Production of the calendar began in May with an open invitation for models (kids!), which is still ongoing! 

I will be updating this blog with more details about the calendar and how local families or businesses can participate in the 2012  calendar project.
