Our 2013 donation!

Well, from the launch to today there hasn't been much posted on here... but behind the scenes our various vendors and dancers have been busy sell-sell-selling!

I'm thrilled to announce that we made our donation finally and were so happy to hand over a cheque for $775 to the Boys & Girls Club of Kamloops!

Thank you to every one of our sponsors, supporters and dancers... YOU made this amazing donation possible!

Here is our first day of last weekend's Baby Ballerina mini sessions... Hope you enjoy the babies as much as I did!

Update:

I've been working hard on securing sponsors for the 2013 calendars, but I need your help too!

If you know of anyone who owns a business or has connections to a business that may be interested in sponsoring the calendar, please email info at classic blue dot ca and I can forward a sponsor letter to you.

Thanks for the support,

xoxo Carrie

Ballerina Baby {K}

The NATURE DANCE calendar features dancers from 2 1/2 years old and up... but I've had many requests for those younger to participate in some way so came up with the Ballerina Baby series.

These mini studio sessions are for children aged 2 1/2 and younger to dress up and have fun on stage!  These sessions are not included in the NATURE DANCE calendar, but the funds from these sessions go towards helping our calendar become a reality.

Enjoy the video!  Please email me for information on how to book a session for your little dancer :)

Our 2012 Donation!

With a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the 2012 NATURE DANCE Calendar in even the smallest way...
I am proud to announce that Classic Blue Photography raised $300 at the close of the first annual NATURE DANCE calendar charity project!

The NATURE DANCE Calendar is as a community project, as its success was based largely on the efforts of volunteers and business owners who donated time and funds just for the love of charity and our environment. From the beginning, the project was intended to involve the community by featuring our children,  involving local small businesses, and by sharing the idea with all of our friends... And while being fun and beautiful, I hope the calendar also inspired hope and giving from the heart to charities that need our help.

I was in awe at times at the kindness and generosity the project inspired in people that didn't even know me at all! I am truly thankful for everyone involved who took a giant leap of faith with me to see the calendar come to life.  This has been a great experience, and the success of this first year has me really excited for future years as it can only get better from here!

This blog has more details about the calendar and how local families or businesses can participate in the 2013 calendar project. Please do take time to look around,  read about the calendar, see some pictures, and have a look at the sponsors who generously funded the 2012 calendar!

Carrie Boileau is owner of Classic Blue Photography, www.classicblue.ca, and mom of 2 of the many beautiful dancers that grace the pages of the 2012 NATURE DANCE Calendar. For more information contact info@classicblue.ca or 250.819.8010.

Welcoming Winter

We have been lacking in the snow department in Kamloops lately, so I was thrilled as great big beautiful flakes finally started to fall last weekend.

I was even more thrilled when one of the brave dancers who've signed up for a winter dance session said she was available to do photos Sunday afternoon!

By the time we met for our session, the snow was well on it's way to melting in the beautiful sunshine... so we headed out onto the local pond while there was no one on it playing hockey!

I sure hope those shoes came clean, Taylor!
